Yup - when I first heard the 1972 song sometime in the early '80s, I thought it was clever but a little silly. Now it's turned into prophecy -- its flip satire is too chillingly close to actual Bush foreign policy to even be funny. And if Bush never thought that "South America stole our name," didn't Quayle (whom Bush I must have picked to soften up the playing field for Jr.) think that they speak latin in Latin America?
