The Wright Stuff

This sports media criticism doesn't come naturally to me. So we'll cut right to it and say that Chris Britton, moved to the Bronx from Baltimore for Jaret Wright, is a 24-year-old 280-pound righty had a strong first half in 2006 before struggling late. He converted a save opportunity late in the season and projects to late inning high leverage work should Joe Torre lose any patience in Kyle Farnsworth. Hopefully, Torre won't show his usual contempt for youngsters and newcomers. At the same time he can save a little stress on Scott Proctor's arm.

As for Wright, his 11-7 record was extremely deceptive. He spent a lot of time pitching with runners on base and got extremely lucky that he was able to let as few of them score as he did.
