I predict the Phillies won't make the playoffs in 2005
OK, enough of the past. It's not exactly a bold prediction to say the 'stros will win the pennant with a 3-1 edge. But I would not be surprised at all to see this thing go to seven games. Pettitte will bounce back tonight, but the question is will he outpitch Carpenter, who looked awful in his last four starts of the regular season.
Cris Carpenter
Last 4 season starts: 9.14 ERA, 1.94 WHIP, 6.23 K/9, 2.49 BB/9, 2.00 K/BB, 1.24 HR/9
2005 season: 2.83 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, 7.93 K/9, 1.89 BB/9, 4.18 K/BB, 0.67 HR/9
2005 postseason: 1.29 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, 3.86 K/9, 3.86 BB/9, 1.00 K/BB, 0.64 HR/9
If St. Louis survives tonight, which I suspect they will, they get Oswalt in game 6 on five day's rest against Mulder.
Houston in 6.
