Curse Of The Cowsills
History will prove that the reason the Boston Red Sox are cursed is not because of trading away Babe Ruth, but because they had the Cowsills sing the national anthem before game three of the 2004 ALCS.
A harmless diversion to keep me off the streets.

Um, appropriate, though, for the team that is the all-time worst Hair squad. Please note that:
- Pedro Martinez looks like the Jeri Curl dude from "Hollywood Shuffle"
- Manny Ramirez is wearing a Sideshow Bob severely mentally ill Rastafarian look
- Trot Nixon looks like a guy from the Hair Club for Men trying to grow a Mohawk
- Johnny Damon looks like he's trying to get cast in "Passion of the Christ 2--He's Back!"
- Bronson Arroyo is wearing bleached blonde cornrows --think a short white Dennis Rodman
- Kevin Millar has the "Amish DH" thing going.
History will report that the Red Sox are cursed because:
1) in the early 20th Century they had an owner who used to team to create revenue for other business (i.e. Selling the Babe for the Babes of Broadway)
2) in the 40's and 50's they refused to hire a single star from the Negro Leagues
3) in the seventies thorugh eighties, none of the great African American Free Agents wanted to sign with them
4) they keep blaming an injured first baseman, rather than the idiot pitcher who gave away the World
Series Win on a WILD PITCH. YEs that's right, before the Buckner Ball, the Mets tied Game 6 in the 11th on a wild pitch.
5) In 2004, they started the Home Games of the League
Championship with Stephen King in a celebrity seat. Not the guy to ward away curses.

Hey, that's Peter Holsapple's in-laws yer talkin' about!
(Susan Cowsill, who was a member of the bubblegum pop group at age 8, went on to marry Peter Hosappple, founder of the 80s power pop band The dBs. Both Cowsill and Hosapple have since formed the Continental Drifters.)
